We just returned from a great NRG (Non-Rally Gathering) in San Dimas, CA.  It sure is nice to take the bus out to meet up with a group of like-minded individuals.  Being with other bus nuts you always learn so much and have so much fun.  I strongly encourage everyone to look at our Rally News section each month and try to get to a rally near you.  You will learn so much and make new friends and I guarantee you will never regret it.

The feature article in this month's issue is Happy Days III – Ronnie & Diann Melbourne's 1969 Model 07 Eagle. This is a beautiful Eagle conversion with SLIDES.  Eat your heart out.  It looks like they have twice the real estate on the inside of their bus than the average bus nut like me.  I am jealous.  See their spacious Eagle here...

This month we have an article about a Truck Conversion written by Kevin Daniels.  They call these Totorhome's which is short for towing motor home because they are generally heavy duty rigs that are self-contained motorhomes, but they are also designed to tow heavy duty trailers.  These are generally for boys with big toys and they provide some advantages over a bus conversion as they generally have more ground clearance and can get off the beaten path a bit more than a 40 – 45' bus.   Bottom line, these Totorhome's have all of the same appliances and amenities as bus conversions do, so they fit in the same category as what you have been reading about for the past 24 years.

This particular Totorhome also tows a small towable conversion built much like a small house.  These are referred as Tiny Houses.  Many Tiny Houses are stationary, but many are also built on trailers and are moveable.  They are generally not made to travel millions of miles like a bus or truck can do, but to move occasionally from one spot to another, to live in part time or full time.  Just like the Totorhome's, Tiny Houses on wheels generally have the same appliances and amenities that trucks and bus conversions do.

We also have an article about the Quartzite Rally 2016 written by Pam Saraceni with photo captions added by Mike O'Rourke.  If you didn't make it to this rally you sure missed a lot of fun.  There were 63 rigs at this year's event, and that was on the GM side alone and many more buses were on the Eagles side of the river, as well. Next year we are expecting over 75 buses to join the GM group, as well as many more in the Eagles group.  Click here to read the first page of this article...
