Satellite problems

I am new to all of this.  we have a work in progress (88MCI102), and have had installed a kingdome satellite system.  we have 2 receivers to be able to watch 2 channels on separate TV's.  It is the in motion system, but that function does not seem to work. (and we really don't need that capability - basically we use it at football games in the parking lot).  we have been having increasing problems that started 2 years ago, and got much worse last year.  We basically could not get the system to lock on a satellite. We have spent hours with the kingdome tech people when we can get them on a line.  They do not seem to be very good or perhaps not interested in helping.  We have also used a local TV vendor tech who has tried a lot of different things, but still we cannot get the system to lock on a satellite and give us any reception.
Any ideas or suggestions or someone who we can contact to get some help?
We have called a couple of the upscale coach manufacturers, and they have indicated that kingdome is not a good system, and should convert to Winegard.   I do not know how to evaluate that advise, but would like if possible to avoid that kind of an expense if we can correct/fix or get our existing system to some degree of reliability and use.

When it locked on before did you have both receivers connected to it? I just remedied a problem with my Winegard when we thought it would be nice to have a separate recvr in the bedroom. After a long drawn out battle, we figured out that unless both TVs are tuned to the same channel and not fighting over who gets the signal and from which satellite and which transponder, they can play together. Although I never called tech, I think the problem is the dome isn't designed for more than one receiver. Not saying that has any bearing on your problem, since we are talking Kingdome and Winegard, but I thought I would mention it. Still, I'm sure I remember someone saying they have more than one recvr on these sat.s that works just fine, though I don't know how that can be since they have to swivel each time you select a channel on a different sat beam.

PS-my dome is set for Dish, though I can flip toggles on it and get Direct if I want. No HD through it.

Winegard in my opinion is better, I have both and kingdom service sucks. Cracked a dome and it was cheaper to buy a whole new unit than buy just the dome.
Winegards service I was happy with.
