Guys, I have been working on the plans and have come up with something that may be interesting. I've been talking to Tom Collins of the Hershey PA bus museum. Here is a link to their web site: http://www.busmuseum.org/Bus_Museum/Welcome.html

They are having their yearly bus event the weekend of June 6th and they bring in additional buses to the museum for this weekend, they could accommodate 25-30 buses in their parking lots so they could host all of us for the weekend.  It would be dry camping only, parking on pavement.  If you know Hershey, there is a lot to do with the kids and everything is nearby.  There would be no cost except admission to the bus museum and I think that is only $7 per person.

We also have other options if that date is not good, on the weekend of June 20th, they have a car show on the museum grounds and asked if we would be interested in participating, showing our buses off during the show on Saturday the 20th.  This option would be fun and it would be only one day of the weekend so we could relax on the Friday and Sunday.

If we want to be completely independent, we could also use their facility on the weekend of June 27th, they have nothing going on so we could visit the museum and other local attractions without any other events going on.

Personally, I like the idea of the car show weekend, but I wanted to put this out there to you all and see what the opinions are.  Of course, I can continue working on the NY campground idea if no one is interested in Hershey PA.

Let me know what you think!  It's nice than none of these dates conflict with Scott's rally in Indy the weekend of the 13th.

ok, since the response to this has been pretty slim, i get the message that we all want to go the campground route, i have the names of 3-4 of them up in the Lake George area, i will continue to see what I can work out with them.  I'll keep everyone posted.

We are going to try and make the Hershey Bus event on June 6th.  they are sending me flyers for this and I will share.

Hey Bruce,
Thanks for looking into different possibilities for the meet.I think most of us North Easterners ( or at least Me)are still in shock with all this snow, If I look hard enough I think I can see my bus in one of the snow drifts back there. The  PA thing wood be cool and so would Lake Geo. Is winter  over yet!   Thanks, Nelson

Hershey sounds great but in my case I need some power as I don't have the generator mounted yet so anything long term with no shore power would deplete my battery bank. So for me my choice is an rv park.

Mel and Steve -

I think we will be going to the Hershey event but I will not organize anything formal there, but I will share the flyer they are sending me and maybe we can get a few buses to go.

The main Northeast rally will be at a campground near Lake George the last weekend of June, we should have full hookups there.  I've got 3-4 campgrounds to call and will post something as soon as I have it confirmed.
