In late May we will be in Calgary on our way to Alaska. There will be two other coaches. A little bit about our plans, we have none. We are interested in sightseeing and points of interest. All of our busses are fine with mountains and boondocking. I am thinking that going up we want to see all we can. I am concerned that coming home after 2 months that it might be harder to stop and see things. From Calgary to Jasper ( route 93 ) looks to be very interesting is that so? At jasper would you go back to Edmonton and then up to Dawson creek or to Prince George then up to Dawson creek? If we come back through Edmonton on are way home then all the above becomes a moot point as we can see most of what we talked about. But if we come back through Vancouver we want to see the best going up.

Thank You Wayne

From Calgary, go to Banff, Lake Louise, then up 93 which is the Columbia Icefields Parkway on to Jasper. You could spend several days just doing that in the Canadian Rockies. Lots of awesome alpine scenery. Lots of campgrounds. Won't be too busy with tourists at that time of year.

We have a farm near Blackie, AB, 10 minutes East of High River, 1/2 hour South of Calgary, at which you are welcome to stay a night or two. I could point you to the local points of interests.

Also if you have an additional day or two, you could come down to Invermere, BC and stay at our place there. It is 1 1/2 hours West of Banff, through Kootenay National Park, again beautiful scenery. Then go North to Golden, BC, and East to Lake Louise.

The area that JC is referring to SE of Calgary is beautiful.  Even if you don't take him up on his invitation you would do well to go west from Fort McLeod and then come up 22.  If it was me I'd give Calgary a pass unless it was Stampede week which it won't be in May.  You could stay SE of Calgary in Kananaskis or even down around Black Diamond and just drive into Calgary.  I don't even like driving a car through Calgary anymore.  Its not as bad as L.A. but that's faint praise.

The last thing I would ever want to do is hurt you.
Its the last thing but its still on the list.

Thank You JC and Bob. Looks like we will spend some time in that area. May have to rethink the Calgary stop. I was going to hold up there a day or two to get supplies. I did not want to go through customs loaded to the hilt, might make life a little easier. Also I don't think it hurts to leave a few US bucks as a thank you for letting us enjoy your part of world. JC we will at least let you know when we are coming through and pick your brain on some sights.

Thank You Wayne
