My toad is a 81 rabbit pickup diesel ... I drive it everyday it is freakin awesome.... 

      I'd love to have one of those.  I guess I'll have to make do with my '03 Jetta Wagon TDI.  Best 90 Hp on the planet - nearing 350K miles @ ~53 MPG overall.

I enjoyed my Rabbit diesel, except that when the air kicked on the engine would stumble for a second or two.  Really disconcerting at first.  The problem with the pickup is not enough leg room for me.  In the rabbit I could slide the seat back far enough but that wall in the truck made it impossible.
