Hey - I'm absolutely certain this is a stupid question, so feel free to flame me for asking.. but...

I need to replace my windshield wipers on my MCI MC-9 ( 1979 ) bus project.   The motor, arms - everything seems fine - but the wiper blades themselves don't even touch the glass anymore.  Anyone know a part or model number and a source for replacement blades only?

Tim

--- by the way, this is offered sincerely, and NOT gratuitously:  you guys really have provided an INVALUABLE resource here, thanks for all the information you've shared

Call MCI. Their prices are often quite reasonable.

Don't know if they are the same as my 5A, but take yours into Napa and ask for 60-1805 blades and compare them to yours.
Used to own a 1968 MCI 5A and a 1977 5C.

I took my old one to NAPA, MCI 7, and they had them in stock. My blades are held on with a small, very small, nut and bolt.

Being a newbie, I don't get a chance to help much yet but I think I can on this one. My MC-7 takes 20" Anco blades #57-10. They attach with a small pin, the new blades have a small screw and nut to replace the pin.

According to the web, the Anco 5710 20" blade crosses to a MCI #03057010, they are about $10 per blade.

Your wiper arms should be held against the windshield via spring pressure.

Your wiper arms will spring back against the glass if pulled away?
