Engine replacement recommendations

IF I had a 2000 XL2 and wanted to replace my wore out engine, where would I get a smashing deal?
500hp/60 Series

Nashville would be nice but I dont think a good deal would be had around there.  Something near TN would be nice.

You can buy the 12L or 14L in Houston all day long for under 5 grand, there is place here in Phoenix that  has a 12L with 160,000 miles on the engine they are asking 6500 but I know he will take 5 but not 4 grand what about the rest of the bus haven't you heard series the 60's don't give up till a million or more miles  lol

Just happen to have a 12.7 out of a 1999 MCI EL3 with less than 100K miles since new. Bare engine only complete with bus pan. Located in SE South Dakota.
