Clifford,  What Cat engine does Sonnie have in his Eagle ? 3406 longer than 60 series right ?

Wouldn't fit unless you did like him ? Right ?

Time for options  6V92 or major work ?

Sonnie has a 350 hp 3406 and they fit with out all the work Sonnie did he just wanted a 2:96 rear gear so he flipped a truck rear and moved his boogie to the rear at that time in his life he needed to stay busy fwiw there is probably more Eagles running with the 3406 Cat than the 60 series or M-11. 

Allan may he rest in peace wanted a 3406 so bad he painted the 60 series Pedco installed in his Eagle Cat yellow and most lookers never knew the difference

Clifford back in the day when I was trucking an had the Springfield Detroit Dealer replace a blown 430-470 HP 60 Series with a 500 HP that was the sickest dawg of an engine I ever had! (shoot I had an 8V71 that dropped a sleeve an that cylinder was omitted to makes it home that ran better than that as a 7-71! LOL)
Anyway after 2 months and I lost track of how many trips back to Springfield one day I stopped in Darr Cat on my way through Tulsa (I lived in Cleveland @ the time) & picked up 2 cans of Caterpillar Yella and took them with me to Springfield to pick up my truck.

When I got there they were still working on it an I went in the service managers office and asked him "could ya do me a favor?" He said sure what is it?
I put that paper bag on his desk an asked "if y'all can't make that thing run good, can at least make it look like should run good?"

OH he was mad started yelling an screaming at me, told me to get out of his office. Then he stormed over to my truck and yelled something to 2 guys working on it.
They stopped what they were doing picked up their tools closed the hood and walked away! 
He then had another guy drive it outside the gate where he met it as the police pulled up. He told them to remove from the property an make sure I was told to never come back!

PS I was never so glad to be thrown out of a place in my life! I was then introduced to American Fleet Services in Springfield where they found the engine I had was pieced together from several different engines (and not matching ones at that) and the cams were mix matched & out of time.
Once AFS was done with it, that engine ran almost like a CAT! LOL!
