Hey Fella's anybody have a line on gas struts for my engine compartment door. I went to NAPA and Carquest warehoues here in Billings and no luck  fully extended mine are 26.5 inches and 16.5 collapsed. and mine take a stud for mounting not the little ball. any help would be great thanks Andy

Andy, those 160 lbs lifts ea if you can wait till I get home I have a new set or can give you the parts number imposable to find at a parts store # Suspa 724    C-16- 00001 pretty pricey lol any other is a waste of money same lift for the standard bay door on Eagles

Andy, thanks for asking.  i need to get mine changed also, and just hadn't started looking.  But it's getting to more than i can push up to slide the pin in. 

Mine must be different from yours, mine are shorter than the bay door models.  i picked some of the bay door units up in Elkhart at one of the salvage shops, but none were heavy enough for the rear engine gate.

you can also take the stud out and replace with the little balls, which are used with more gas lifts.  They sell those little ball ends on a 1/2 or 1" long bolt, like a 1/4x20 size.

Tom I'm sure mine is not as hevery as yours, My hatch is louvered ans it not stock as you can see.

Tom's 15 has a pantograph rear door he needs to tighten the springs at the top for easy lifting Andy's looks like a standard 05 or 10 engine door
