Dear Friends,

I have been looking for every possible way to save space on bus conversion, as it is only 35 feet long and 96 inches wide. I also want to leave as free as possible two of our four cargo bays.

Today we tested one of the former OTR air conditioner blower holes with... one of our old truck batteries, which we have replaced with new ones. This is just to give an idea what might fit in there. I believe I could easily build a slide out enclosed box, vented through the outside lid, on a slide-out tray for our house batteries.

Plus it is right next door to my generator compartment, so I can run shorter cables. And I still have plenty of space to the right of the batteries, above the fuel tank, to install my charger.
