I love that he started with something near and dear to my heart. My Fathers 1973 GMC motor home. 455 cu in and fornt wheel drive. I helped my father maintain and up keep that thing for years.  My first adventure in a class A motor home.

(snip)  I do think it is cool to be able to drive from upstairs or downstairs though! I see how he did the steering wheel and that doesnt seem like a huge challenge, but what about the foot pedals and brakes.....

    I dunno about the GM chassis but it's a piece of cake with an ordinary double-decker bus.  After you've extended the steering shaft, you move the accelerator pedal (air "throttle"), 4 bolts and re-routing a 1/4" line; the brakes are purely moving the pedal and "master cylinder", the shift is by wire so that's a 20 minute job.  Add defroster and wipers, plus a light switch and a driver's seat.  Not that anybody has ever done a design study on it, of course.
