We are heading out from Paso Robles tomorrow to Fresno then stop and have a Pepsi with RJ.

Do any of you have recommendations for an RV Park in the Sacramento area?

It's bus related! ;D

If you are just looking for some place to park,  Cal Expo has RV parking.  They have some hook ups. It's the fair grounds on the business loop of I80.  With all the weird stuff the state is doing you might want to call and make sure they haven't stopped taking overnighters. You have to like race horse people though, it's where they park. There is a truck stop on West El Camino and I5.

We can't think of any nice places, but stay away from anything on Auburn Bld.  and I80.  It's drug ally and hooker heaven when the sun goes down.

The old "76" truck stop @ West El Camino and I5 was never a "nice" place in all my years of trucking. I know TA bought it out and may have cleaned it up some but you know the old saying that a leopard can't change it's spots right?
Also last I knew they were charging $20 a night (or anything over 4 hrs.) parking unless you bought X amount of fuel! (been that way since the '80's)

I'm sure there is a much better place somewhere cheaper.

I just received a phone call from an Eagle owner in Live Oak, CA that have asked us to stop by and overnight at their place.

Thanks for the information, I think! ::)

Live Oak is in Santa Cruz county, right over the city line.  That's not near Sacramento, although it's a nice place to stop.
You don't have to believe everything you think.

Lin, I'm no Kalifornian by far. But the 2 Live Oaks I find are in A) Sacramento County on Hwy 16, and Sutter County up on 99.

And yer right neither are in the city, but who cares when yer meeting new busnuts?

I think Paul's talking about the Live Oak on 99 in Sutter County, between Marysville/Yuba City and Chico.

That would make sense, since he's headed from Paso Robles on 41 to 99 in Fresno, then NB from here.

Stay with the busnut. Since the Great Depression started in Sacramento and surrounding counties, the quality of some of these areas has taken a major nose dive. Live oak is a nice little town in the heart of the northern sacramento/sutter valley with fruit and nut trees all around. Stop by one of the many fruit stands and pick up some of the freshest produce available on the planet.

Great weather is a major plus as well.
