Dear Friends,

We are working up to the last minute, though the bus is not going on our trip.

Today we got our new battery tray for the engine batteries finished. The old one was busted and rusted. We added a steel strap on top to hold the batteries in their place, when going over our many Mexican bumps and pot holes.

We put expanded metal, instead of sheet metal, so water won't accumulate and rust it out again.

Thanks for looking!

That looks great! You might want to consider a thin piece of plywood on top of the expanded to be sure the steel does not wear thru the plastic battery bottom.

Thanks, Charles! Maybe a thoroughly-painted (protected) plywood and cover it with some of the rubber, like used on the entrance steps.
