Agree with Tom C as in more windows are better. Well, within reason. We kept three windows on the passenger side, two windows on the drivers side. Moved the aft most windows. bedroom, forward by half the window length. Should have moved an additional 8-10" forward to better center on the side mounted bed. No windows in bath or kitchen. We installed three Fantastic Fans. living room aft of AC,  kitchen, and bathroom.  Bathroom fan is more than sufficient to remove odors with a window cracked someplace.
Use the dual pane, tinted windows. I know $'s but worth the money. Window awnings help in the heat.
When and if you can get the sliders windows for the driver and door windows.  With a bedroom window open about 8" and the those two windows opened there is a great breeze across the driver and passenger. That means no gen time for the AC up to 95F+.
