Are you trying to work your trips around events or points of interest? or just a weekend camping trip?  We took a weekend trip to Mistletoe State Park last weekend just to get away.  Nice park with shady 50A spots not alot to do but camp and fish but it made a nice weekend getaway.

Whew, the hospitality! My sincere thanks to you all. I have tried for four years to get to Moultrie for the show (I build street rods), but the schedule never seems to coordinate. We are going to try once again this year, though probably in my friend's 50 Mercury. We'll be heading for Albuquerque in the spring, most likely, but any appearance on the left coast will probably be limited by the amount of time my bride wants to spend with the new granddaughter (her first) in NM. We have decided than any trip of more then 250 miles or so will not be a weekend- we need several days in the bus to beat the cost of hotel room savings, which sorta gives us an excuse to use the bus at all. I figure a week of bus makes the cost of fuel almost bearable. The trip to the Okie is about definite, and I haven't seen Augusta in too many years to count. We'll certainly contact Jack and Lois.
I belong to the Dixie Wing of the Commemorative Air Force, although I'm not really an airplane person (aircraft carriers were my thing as a kid in Norfolk), but my daughter lives across the highway from the Smithsonian air museum at Dulles; I TRULY recommend that any of you who are close stop in for a very interesting visit. More later, and THANKS AGAIN.
