I was watching the thread on seating and I just bought to very comfortable Flex-steel's. $50.00 for two in great shape. Bad thing is, they are the wrong color. (my luck) I checked with Flex-steel and from what I gather, ya can't get different covers from them. Do you guys know of a good way (nice looking now! ;) I'm past the bed sheet trick.  ;D) to cover them or know someplace or somebody that could fix me up?? They really do sit nice and I'd hate to give them up. But if I gotta, I'm making office chairs outta them for my desk and computer.  :)

Thanx,

If the seats are definitely comfortable for the long rides, and since you got them that cheap, you could probably get them reupholstered at a local shop cheaper than you could buy new ones.

try some nice Ultrasuede on them, soft, cleanable, breathable, colorfast and longlasting....many colors...very sharp.....insist on the genuine material in the correct weight.....not cheap but better x 10
Sometimes the more I think about something the less I think about something.    As soon as I save a little money my bus finds out.                                      Why grab a plane when you can take the bus ?                         If I'm wrong 10% of the time how can the "Queen" be right 100%

Thanx guys, I was kinda hoping for someplace to get custom or "fitted" covers. An upholster was my last choice, but maybe my only one.

Chaz, you might call Nancy Citti at Bergen Auto Upholstery.  While they specialize in bus upholstery, she might be able to help you with the other furniture - perhaps with the Flexsteel model number.  They're the go-to folks, and she's a great friend to the bus industry.

Chaz, this is a long time friend of mine in Houston. He is not cheap but he is good. I don't know what it would cost to ship them here but he can do some awesome stuff.  http://americandragseats.com/ads.html

I have seen custom upholstery people dying seats, headliners, to change the colour.  People in the vintage car restoration business use them.  I have seen them make leather, vinyl, cloth, carpet all  look like new.  Just a thought.

Thanx Guys. I'll get prices and if that's too salty, I'll look at the dye idea. They are cloth so I'm not sure how that works. I have used a spray dye/paint on vinyl before. Worked ok.

Thanx!
