I have been looking for locks for the bays on my 4106 and have not found any thing to my liking. I don't want to go the pad lock route. I dot think locks were an oem option but I would like something that looks like it belongs there. If those of you who have done this could give me sources and info (maybe even pictures) it would be great. Or those who have thought about it. Or those who think its a stupid idea.

thanks

On mine they have Cam Locks. I do not have the keys for them but they are easy to replace. The hard part is buying 6 that are keyed the same. I think it is a 3/4" Cam Lock by 1" long. I have purhcased some but have yet to replace the old ones. It is just a simple lock nut that holds it in.  Behind the lock there is about a 2-1/2" long 1" aluminum L bracket that is riveted in. You could pull it open if you really wanted to but they work good for the average criminal.
They look kinda like this.

Somewhere along the line similar locks were put on my bus. A good stout pull on the handle will easily defeat the lock. I am a lock it up kind of person but for some reason no one has ever tried to open a bay or get in. When someone wants in, and they have decided they are going to get in, a simple lock will not stop them. I feel the damage they can do to expensive hard to find panels can be more of a loss than anything I keep in the bays. Used camping gear, chairs, and those type of items is not something that has a high street value.

I installed barrell locks on my 4106 that I got from a member of our bus group, Butch Williams.   Will get his email address for you.   Contact me at larrydbaker@aim.com

butch@rvlocks.com    All locks can be keyed alike.   They look nice on the bus.

Hi yo silver

The door lock and bay door locks on mine use the same key, which is a Ford key.  The local charter company uses Ford locks as well.  It is a double cut key.  Must be a popular option.  The one I'm most concerned about is the bay with the genset.  The most secure option for protecting that would be parking up against something immovable!

I am more concerned about keeping thieves out of my fuel. That's something you cannot put your name on.
