Air Conditioner Quit

We have a Coleman rooftop airconditioner on our bus that is about 18 years old. It get very little use and tonight I turned it on for fan only. It ran for a few seconds and quit. I thought perhaps the breaker tripped but it was still fine. Anyone have an ideas before I tear into it.

Hello Fred,

I suspect after 18 years that the bearings in the fan motor were dry and siezed up on ya.

or, after a few seconds the corroded windings in the motor shorted out. 

If either, usually not worth the effort or $$ to repair.
