Brian,

The guys that are telling you that toe out or even toe will cause wandering know what they are talking about. The truck and bus shops set them up neutral to maximize steer tire wear. If you want it to drive without wandering set it up at the maximum toe in. You have to tell the alignment shop to do this.

I have proven this to myself three different times. Prevost calls for 1/8 toe on straight axles, Newell calls for 1/16 to 1/8 toe.

If you search toe in on this forum you will find a post by me that tells you how to do it in your driveway.

If the coach is wandering or hunting in the road, increase the toe just a little and see what happens. You will be amazed at how much better it will drive.

Yeah, it might reduce the overall life of the tire by a little, but I have never worn out a set, always aged them out.
