Ahoy, BusFolks,

Question about VW toads and the DSG "Dual shift Gearbox" or multiple-shaft dual-clutch manual gearbox.

Remco says 'Not possible -- will burn up the transmission' -- 

Does anyone have any specific detailed knowledge of the DSG mechanisms --  Any mods to make it possible??

What some do is leave the tranny in neutral and the engine running and then tow 4 down.  I'm not sure if that would work in that particular application but for many it's an option.

Go over to www.woodalls.com and link to their forums.  They have one dedicated to dinghies (sp?).  Ask about that model and you should get some real use response.
