It was the catalog for the bankruptcy auctions next month in Georgia and California of Coachwork Holdings, makers of the Wanderlodge motorhomes (having acquired this part of Bluebird in 2007).  Lots of parts, tools, fixtures, etc., as well as incomplete coaches and even the trade-in and lien inventory.

Well no nitemares......but I did dream about buying everything!   I've never been to an auction where anything turned out to be a good buy, everything always went higher than retail!.........It's a shame to see someone go out of business, but with this economy its going to happen! I did like that overhead crane.............lol!

Yes, sometimes the stuff goes high.
When I've been to auctions like this in the past, the first stuff on the block goes for stupid money. But towards the end, the idiots are out of money & you just have to deal with the fools. . . 

It also helps if you've done your homework (concerning what you need & what it's worth to you today) & pay attention to who is bidding. I despise shill bidding but proving it is something else, sometimes a few well chosen words will give someone time to reflect (on their actions that appear to be shill bidding) while you bid . . . .


I've found the best deals when I go looking for speciality things that few others will want. I never expect to find any bargains on hand tools tho . . .

I won't lose one second of sleep over this.

The few remaining RV companies and dealers will come and buy anything worth driving that far to bid on.  The only thing they won't take is project rigs not worth tearing apart.  It looks like all they have in California is coaches or projects.

However, it really doesn't matter to us -- the average busnut uses better quality conversion components than most of the pro builders! 

Looking at my coach living space, the only thing which might be found at these auctions is the washer/dryer -- everything else is either custom fab or stuff which would be found in a regular home.  About all that I was tempted to use from sticks-n-staples was furniture and a good fridge, and I didn't even do that.

The rest of the coach is another story.  You might want tanks, water pump, genset, leveling system, satellite antenna, heated power mirrors and a few other odds and ends, but I don't see any advantage in going a long way to bid on them, unless you have some other reason for being in that area that weekend.

The bottom line is that if you need parts of the quality used by Wanderlodge, and it's otherwise convenient to go, then it would be worth checking out the sales in the East, but not to make a big expedition out of it.
