Update on motor. We got to go home for a couple of days, and look the motor over. Well, my hubby remembered it all wrong, but memory was jogged when he looked at it. The bus we got was 1500, and the motor was 5000. It is a COMPLETE MOTOR. He was thinking it wasnt, but it is. So,,,,,,,,,,,,,,if anyone is interested, we live in GA. We will be home the first half of June. I know we did some cking, and found the price of a series 60 with 300,000 on it was between 5 and 7000. Anyhow, just wanted to update the info.

You need to get away from "motor", a motor is an electrical devise, what you have is an "engine" as in internal combustion engine.>>>Dan

So you are driving along in your bus, and you want to turn into a vacant lot. There is a sign posted that says "Motor Vehicles Prohibited"  You feel it is okay to pull in because yours is powered by an engine?

Oh, and General Engines might be declaring bankruptcy tomorrow.

Wow. You needed to reply to this 3 week old thread in order to take a shot?
C'mon. You're better than that. :( Mitch

My apologies.   I did not look at all the dates.  This thread appeared near the top of the active list, with the last post just hours earlier. I did not realize that this entire thread dated back so far.

However, when a newer member comes on the board asking for assistance and they become nit-picked for the choice of their wording, (and there was nothing wrong with the wording in the first place), I will continue to come to their defense.

???I really dont know what to think about this reply. I am not a mechanic, nor do I know all the correct term to use. I guess you must think of some who dont know,
especially women, as too dumb to post here. Sorry, dont mean to be a smart ***,
but, that got to me. I have found almost everyone on these boards
very friendly and helpful. Things like this could discourage some from
posting on here for fear of ridicule. Thanks to all the helpful ones on
here, and all the advice and help you have given me.

Yep Ruthi, you go ahead and called it a motor, or an engine, or "the thing in the back that makes all the noise".  It's all fine with us and we welcome your questions.   Heck, you can even go and misspell it if you want.  If someone takes a shot at you, we'll take care of firing back, (even if it's a little late).

[Jack, make sure that Honda is registed with the Department of Engine Vehicles, and god forbid, don't put any motor oil in it!  :D]

Jack, make sure the breaks work on that thing!

Yup, that is why we got a bus too. A enginehome didn't sound right to us. And we certainly didn't want an electric motorhome, no matter how "clean" it is ;D ;D ;D. Then again I really don't think that the department of engine vehicles would let us register it ;D ;D ;D.

God bless,
