Well we ventured out on a little road trip. Our first one was last fall and was only about 150 miles. Well we decided to go over this past week-end. We headed out saturday morning and headed down to Grand Forks N.D. Everything seemed to work well. First time we have actually used the bus so it was nice that everything we have done actually works. Also it was good to get out and see some of the weak points such as the TV moving around a bit. etc. I have never put any miles on so we were quite nervous. Spent all this money fixing it up and I was so scared we'd get out on the road and it would leave us on the side of the road. How would I be able to calm my bride down , haha I know I can fix the bus but it might take awhile. Well all of my worrrys were in vain, thank goodness. The old girl ran like a top. Put over 500 miles on and the only problem we had was the air dryer. The purge valve just kept letting air past it. While my wife was making supper I just took the purge valve off, cleaned it and put it back together and it was good. I think I will just update the dryer. Didn't use ANY oil and didn't blow any seals. I was somewhat worried about wheel seals as the unit has been sitting for quite some time, none of them even ran warm and I sure didn't baby it. It's all good.

Good to hear a story of relatively uneventful trip.

Purge valves can be rebuilt with a kit or replaced with remanufactured.  On my AD-9 I did a rebuild, but it purged continuously after the rebuild so I ended up getting a remanufactured valve.

Good news. That means you're all set to attend the Bemidji gathering in July.

Craig,
Do you have dates for the Bemidji thing.  I think we will be in Michigan most of July and maybe the first part of August.  Jack

I am afraid we might not be able to make MACC. We are supposed to meet friends from FL at Midland, MI on 7/9 or 10. They want to leave Midland on 7/13 to go to Mill Creek Campground, then to Paradise, then to Benzonia. Once I have definite dates, I will let you you know. Maybe we can meet as we are heading up and ya'll are heading south. If we can make MACC, we certainly will be there.  Jack
