Lights???

If you look on the side of our Eagle you will see three 12v patio lights, they do light up quite nice but they are not high end Prevost lights! eBay was the source.

I have seen some lights on the sides of the high end Prevost motor homes, usually about three or four running along the sides. Probably to give light for getting into spaces at night, they are angled down to point the light toward the ground.

This is what I have always assumed those were:

Roof mounted lighting is illegal for general highway use in michigan, it can, however, be used for off road or for visibility purposes while parking. In michigan 'white light to the rear' is also illegal,  Bontragers have docking lights for sale, I got a couple of really nice ones on my last trip there for 30 bucks for the pair. Low hanging tree limbs are going to continue to be a problem for us, we go into some secluded areas at times up here and because we're often the tallest vehicle to be dumb enough to try to get to that spot we have to be very careful, we do it before dark and after daylight lol.

The attached photo shows a pair of high mounted lights I have on either side of the destination sign.  I am sure they violate some of the regs for forward mounted vehicle lights, but I've had them through eight state inspections (PA), and travel through 20+ states, and no one has ever questioned them. Of course, I never use them while traveling on the road. They are very handy when squeezing into a tight campsite at night.  I wish I had a set on the rear.

What I did for docking lites was to mount two lites on each side at the bottom of the bus.One in the front & one at the rear as you can see in the pictures. I've had them on my last two motor homes,and now on the bus they have worked out just fine for us. you can see ever thing as you are backing up, I can see my rear wheels and what is out there. and the front ones helps to see a large area. It is also good at a  campground for light out side.
