400 is to big for 1 tank. Build several smaller ones and hook them togather. I'll be watching for you around Eugene, you're the one driving with the binoculars, right! Really, I hope your eyes get better and you can drive for a long time.

NJT,

I'm still getting by.  Thanks   I will be making at least three tanks including the stock item that i hope I can include.  Thanks again

Craig,

I will have to have the metal cut to size ny a shop.  Thanks for the tip about rolling the edges.  I will certainly do that....definately.  Thanks

Tom,

These fuel prices will definately put a crimp in my style.  I want to travel much more than I can actually afford.  I will be making BioD and I want to take as much of my fuel with me as I can.  As I empty tanks I will use them for the BioD making process.  I intend to make it on the road in 30 gallon batches.  Lotta dreams here but this is the very general rough plan.  You are right though in that if I didn't have a really good reason for carrying that much fuel I would be a fuel  ::)to do so.

Ace,  I will definately look into it as a possibility...plastics.  I will be loading the tanks with BioD 100 not B10 or B20.  Everybody involved says to avoid all plastics as they have a "life span" that is shortened by straight BioD.  I would use ABS in a heart beat if I were sure it would last ten years.  I'll let you know what I find out so we can compare notes.... they don't know everything.  John

Thank you all for all your help and comments.  Especially the guy that said "WTF? :o  Are you outa yur GD mind?"  That also helped. ;D
