Does anyone know where I can purchase an electric cord that recoils for my slide out. It requires a minimum # 12 wire. This is for my slide out in my Neoplan bus conversion. Sure would appreciate some help. Tom

Search for "cord reels" from these sites:

www.grainger.com
www.mcmaster.com

I have bought reels from both and they are great to deal with. I find the McMaster-Carr catalog invaluable. It has almost everything known to man in it, and it explains sizes, types, etc. Very useful if you are starting a project and need ideas on what is available to use.

I really do not want a reel. What I would like to have is a recoilable cord like the one on my Newmar 5th. wheel slide out. It is a cord like a spring or a cord with a spring in it.

Hey, Thankx barn owl. I just had not thought about Grainger or McMaster-Carr. Yep got both catalogs and it looks like they have what I want in a 16/3 wire which they say will handle 13 amps. I was looking for something a little larger.

If I understand what you want, http://www.mcmaster.com/, search for product "7520K23". AWG 12/3, 25 amp, 4 feet stretching to 20 feet, -58° to +221° F, indoor/outdoor use, $103.

Or "7088K72" for the same thing in a -20° to +140° F, indoor use version, 2 feet for $44.62, 4 feet for $81.06.
