Hi guy's,

Tonight, we had the unique oppertunity to tour a new Newell coach here at Riverbend Resort. There are 2 new Newell's here and while we were

stairing at one, the gentelman came over to us and he let us take a peek inside as well as the CAT C15 600hp diesel...[monster].

You can really tell the difference in a Newell compared to S&S types. The Newell is constructed just like a bus. I was particulatly amazed by how

they crammed a Sub Zero refrig/ freezer in the kitchen. 4 slides, 5 Penguins on the roof, granite everywhere, and everything is motorized..

This coach was 13.2 tall and 45 ft long and it seemed way bigger with the slides.

It's kinda nice to see something different then all the Monoco's, Newmar's, and Prevosts in the resort. But, that Newell made me feel like I owned a schoolie.

I had the pleasure of visiting the Newell factory in Miami Oklahoma earlier this week it is about twenty miles from my shop.  A friend of mine knows the owner and we got permission to walk through the plant for several hours and look at every phase of construction from building the frames to the finishing touches.  Also looked at 8 or 10 coaches on the lot, it was a great learning experiance.

Just as in an earlier thread, I'd be curious as to the curb weight vs GVWR.

Len the curb weight on the one in Feb 2006 was 53,900# with gcwr 79,580 gvrw of 59,580 and payload of 5,680
