As I was wandering around out in the tooley bushes behind the shop, I decided to go look at a derelict MCI sitting next to a Old Look NJT Suburban GMC. Both of these coaches are slated for the scrapper, there is no engine or transmission in either, but the NJT has the same silver siding as my PD4103.

What really interested me though was the MCI... I happened to look up in the empty engine compartment and found that it is an MC5 built in 1964. Not a 5A, Not a 5B and Not a 5C, but a true MC5.

There are still lots of good parts on the coach, including what looks like an almost perfect front bumper (Mirror Finish). From the little bit I poked around, It looks as if someone needing parts for one, would be well served to contact the owner.

Awesome find Dallas  In your wanderings can you find me some of these old door opener / door lock parts??  I need to replace these on the 1947 MCI courier 200

Paso, I'm not really sure which parts you are looking for... Mr. Bowen has Beaucoup parts laying around, but if you mean the chrome parts of the door closing mechanism, wouldn't it be easier to just make new ones in a vice and have them chromed?
If you need bushings, I have even made my own by chucking a brass fitting in a drill and holding a 7 1/4" carbide tipped circular saw blade to it as the gouge........ to make the final fit, I have used a few pieces of different grit wet/dry sand paper.

What you are suggesting is what I was planning on doing. The three  flat pieces on the dash is what I'm after that is where the door locks tight.  You would think that part would not be worn out as it is only 61 years old.   ;D  The problem with making them is determining what size they were to begin with.  Not likely a major issue. Maybe I'll call MCI parts and give them a good laugh asking if they still have stock. :) Thanks
