Guys,i have a 2512 Trace (not the sw series) that the 3 stage charger as quit and i want to replace it with a pure sine.I looked at the RS 3000 Xantrex its a good price but the thing is made in China.Anyone know of an American made inverter, 2500w will work for me but would like to have 3000w if possible

You could check on Outback and Magnum brands. I have a vague memory that at least one of them was US built. One of those two has a facility in Arlington, WA, right near the Xantrex one.

For what it's worth.

Before you count the charger OUT - Is there a reset or overload protector circuit breaker/fuse? - HTH

I installed a Xantrex RS3000, control panel and auto gen start over two years ago, and I haven't had so much as a burp or fart from it. Very pleased with it's performance.

Niles i checked the things you mention before i took it to the dealer he ran some tests and I was told the board was bad and is no longer serviceable by Trace or Xantrex. So if I get good feed back on the Magnum 2800 like i did from Dick Wright (he sells them now) i think it will be a good inverter what do you think

MMATS - Who am I to question Dick Wright - If he says jump I'd say how high - the MS2812 (not the 24 volt which is modified sine wave) is a pure sign wave with 3 stage charger and "battery saver feature" (I believe it is programable) - I'll have to concede any comments to others who have used this product - It appears to be a good deal if that is the amount of power you need, judging by some of the prices quoted online - FWIW
