Howdy...new to MAK but have been around the other board for a few years as FAKEGUY.  Have a 62 4106 and redoing front cabin...looking to mount buddy seats over wheel well humps in floor and scratching my head as to how.  anybody got any tips as to how to handle these humps...would appreciate.  Thanks

I had the same problem with the rt seat on my 4104.  I had a 3/16 steel plate made with a 4 inch rise on the fwd end and bolted it in place thru the cover and the fwd end thru the floor.  Then modified the pedestal for the correct height and bolted to the steel plate.  Hope this helps.

Houndbus,
I attached a couple pictures of how my buddy seat is mounted, it does not show here but the wheel well is reinforced with a steel plate to hold the seatbelt bolts.
Also the spring bolt in the picture allows the seat to swivel around after you pull the pin out

Hey, everyone..thank you for the replies and pictures...really helps me to get a visual and hear what others have done rather than try to reinvent the wheel (no pun intended)

you can take a flexsteel pedistal and easily modify it to the radius of the wheel well and bolt it directly to the wheel well.

my 04 had this setup , worked well for 30 years
