I need shocks for our MC8,I went to the Koni site but, I didn't find any info for MCI.The ride on our coach is very stiff compared to our 4106.I think we need to adjust the air ride level. Any help would be welcome.

We need a few bay door cables and springs, the springs are there but the connecting loops are broken off.Can we heat up the end of the spring and bend it over to create a new end?We have a big spool of the correct size of cable. How long should the cables be.I am told that some of the cables are of different lengths.I could make the new cables the same length as some of the others on the coach, would they be the right length.I read the article that Fred Hobe wrote about cable replacement. Great article.

The springs on my MC8 doors (mine has a single spring for each door) have threaded plugs in the end with a hole in the middle through which the cable passes. The cable has a crimp end on it.

If yours do have a loop then heating the end to form a new loop would likely result in a softened metal with reduced strength.

Check with Mohawk Manuf. for an OEM shock for your coach. I was able to get Canadian-made Gabriels for our 4108 for less than $40/each w/ free shipping. Helped our bouncing immensely.

As to your stiff ride, the MC8 came with airbeam design (which are prone to rusting through) and some of your airbags may have been plated off, leading to a harder ride. The 4106 (and later GMs) had no airbeams and a rolling-lobe style bellows. You might check and see if there's a replacement bellows for plated-off bags that gives a better ride.
