Hi busnuts,

Either this weekend, or next, we will be moving from our current overloaded web server to a new server.  We will also have much greater control of what we can do to support the web site.  Currently we are extremely limited in what we can do to increase performance.  This will change quite a bit with the new server setup.

We will let you know when the weekend has been selected - there will definetly be downtime, and the downtime may extend out to a day or two at the most.  Chat will also be down, and could be down an extra day or two.  Integration with chat has been the sticking point on the test systems.

Hope this helps, and thanks for all the support.   ;D  ;D  ;D

Kind Regards, Moderators.

I wish you and whoever helps the very best! Almost every time I have ever migrated from one server to another there has been a hiccup... sometimes 2 or 3!  >:(

I guess with progress comes some pain  ;D

The last thing I would ever want to do is hurt you.
Its the last thing but its still on the list.

The nice thing is that you can backup the database which contains all the messages and transfer
them in one shot to the new server. Sure saves time and aggravation in trying to re-assemble a board
with lots of messages and users.
