Automatic trans cable for a 4108

Check out CableCraft and Teleflex products. They both make excellent and varied cables that can be simple pull type, or push-pull, which is what you need for a Transmission control cable. It's easy to custom design/order exactly what you need for length and attachment fittings on the ends to fit your 4108. Don't even try to repair the exiting one, simply remove it, and use the existing path for the new cable. Probably the easiest solution.

I replaced the original shift linkages and bell-cranks in my 4501 Scenicruiser, ohh so many years ago, with CableCraft Teflon lined interior push-pull cables. When finished I could shift it with two fingers effortlessly, and even drove it without the clutch, it had so much tactile feel through the cables. It was fantastic. Definitely an improvement over the original equipment.

Ditto on above, but to install, you should remove upper center of bay ceiling panels in all bays. Good chance old one is secured in place pretty well. Thats why people go to the electric one.
But disconnect cable at both ends first and check if movement is still restricted. Could be shifter alongside driver, problem at rear. Also check above rear axle and above bulkhead between axle and firewall. Up front, you can remove spare and ceiling panel above and inspect cable there. It will also help in cable or electric shift work.

You would need to find a old electric over air shifter from a old unit they don't sell or manufacture the Stone/Bennet shifter any longer.I used the Stone/Bennet shifter for years on the Allision but haven't seen a new Stone for sale in almost 20 years the last one I purchased  was $750.00 a cable would cost around $400.00 now

Yes, those cables arent cheap. Maybe check with Luke for either.

I recall when I was going to use a remote manual shifter for Roadranger trans, I was planning to use those cables. Morse brand. They had about 3 or so versions. Ss cable in a casing. You ordered length needed. Back then, the two cables were about 400 bucks for the pair. Back in 80's. 2 1/2 to 3 times that now.

Maybe I should look at the electric set up.    Who sells those? I will also check with Luke for a cable and compare.
