Clifford when the heater went out on ours I found that there is a bent pipe with a wire going into the pipe on the right side on the back. It said to pull up on that pipe while wiggling it and pull it out. It has two gray wire connected to the end of it. Unplug it and get a new one. They burn out and can not be reused. pug in the new one and slide it into the same place. The Norcold needs heat to be cold.  :^
I know you don't like videos but here is one that shows it and how to get it out.

Thanks,Dave I found out from Norcold it is not the element for cooling but a heater to keep the fridge part of the fridge from freezing in cold weather it keeps the inside at 34 degrees below freezing temp and is made on the control board,It is a new fridge with improvements that suck when you get the "H" code it only will work on propane .Norcold is finding me repair shop to install the new board under warranty

Warranty repair is perhaps best. But...
The electric element that allows it to run on 110v is mounted in a tube attached to the side of the stack up under all that heat shield and insulation. Just pulling the old element out and sticking a new one in is risky because if you miss it will burn out again quickly and you can't see what you are doing. Even service centers can mess that up because they want the quick fix. It is easy to remove the shroud and the insulation. I think 1 screw and then you squeeze the shroud to release a couple of tabs. Then it all comes right off and you can see the element.

I'm not sure what this other element you mentioned is. Maybe a defroster heater?

Jim
I saw it on the Internet. It MUST be true...

It is not the element tube I have changed dozens of those , dumb they tie a heater on a board where electric side will not work if heater goes bad. I bought a direct replacement I was told, Van had to redo the cabinet and the vent plus I now have 12v to run the thing but it works good on propane and
did on electricity for a week

Jim LOL I don't have warrentee on it after 18 years. I have done it twice with no problems and also replaced the board and the thermister. Three way Norcold and still works great. Last year fully rebuilt our Suburban 35,ooo BTU heater for 250.00 instead of 1,300.00.  When you live in a Bus full time you can not rely on service centers that are 2 hours away and way to expensive. :^

Yeah it's ridiculous. I found a nice Norcold on craigslist with a burned out heating element and bought that for about $350 now fixed and works fine.
