So, I started building a new house right before COVID hit, and the construction area blocked the bus access, so it didn't go anywhere.

So, I started gathering parts for Preventive Maintenance I knew needed done(buy when money is available). I had planned to take it to a local shop to get a few brake and driveline parts replaced along with new brake lines.
I bought a rebuilt air compressor from Luke and sent my spare as a core. The one on the bus puts a lot of oil into my air lines--even though it seems to work OK.

After watching Scott's videos on brake cans, I started to think that I should replace my DD3's as I have no clue how old they are and I have had the bus over 20 years now. So I bought 2 rebuilt DD3s from Luke also.

Knowing that the wheels need to be pulled to replace the brake cans, and again Scott's videos had me a little concerned about bearings and wheel seals, I bought 2 new sets of bearings and all new wheel seals from Luke(hoping that at least 2 sets of the current bearings are good).

About a month ago I finally get the new windshield in the bus (another long story) and can finally see to move it around and get it ready for the safety inspection I missed last year.

Last week I start it, run the air pressure up, push the brake down for the parking brake release, which it does, but when I look at the air gauge it seems like I lost 20 psi to release the brake! I move forward and press the brake to the floor and the pressure continues to drop rather fast until it is at 40 psi. !!!! Now I pull the parking brake and rev to build pressure again.
Release the parking brake and take a trip 20 ft backwards, and stand on the brake again, and again the same result.

DARN!!! Who left Murphy get on the BUS!!!

Finally yesterday my daughter was home, and after I moved it forward to get pressure washed, she stepped on the brake so I could find the corner that was leaking. The driver's side front brake hose is leaking like a sieve! So, now before I can take it in for the PM to replace the brake hoses I have to replace a brake hose just to get it there!

BUT ---The silver lining in this situation is ---It happened at home in the driveway and not out on the road. BAD THINGS could have happened. Not being able to go is bad on the road, but it is almost infinitely worse if you can't stop!

P.S. Does anybody know if I can remove/replace that brake line w/o removing the wheel?

John, I thought of that last night, but I was overtaken by darkness before I could try it.
