Screw Knocker

Hey folks, I saw one of these mentioned on one of these groups the other day, I'd never heard about them before.

It's an air-hammer attachment which holds 5/16 screwdriver bits, with a little handle on the shaft which you can gently turn by hand while hammering to remove old rusty screws without camming them out.  Wish I'd known about these things years ago now!

Mine came in the other day and I immediately tried it out on the screws holding my 4104's front door lower edge gasket/seal; these are screws which appear not to have ever been removed, at the very least not for the last several decades.  I'd tried multiple applications of penetrating oil along with an impact driver (both electric and manual) without budging even one of them, and was getting ready to just drill them out when I figured I'd give this thing a try.  Took every single one out within fifteen minutes with ease, it was amazing.

Just wanted to share, this tool's an absolute must-have for any of our older rigs.

Glad to hear it works I ordered one a few days back haven't gotten it yet now you post it I ordered mine from Brown tool and was a lot more than 30 bucks. I am still nursing a thumb and finger from a impact driver
