How much open storage do you have?

On my transit, I have 22" from under floor to bottom of the body skirt.  I installed a 85 gal gray, 45 gal black, 20 gal propane tanks, 2-8D (or room for 3-4D's) batteries, 10kw Powertech Genset, and made a 99 x 22 x 66" storage for 83cu ft and another storage of 8 cu ft behind my rear wheel for 91 cu ft total.

My question to all of you- after all equipment has been installed in your bus, how much free space do you have under the bus for storage?  If you can do it in dimensions or cu ft that would be great!  Good Luck, TomC

both my 4104 and the MC-8 have one compete compartment empty.

the 04 has half the back compartment empty and the MC-8 has nooks and crannies here and there.

We have roughly 200 cubic feet, including the motorcycle garage.  And every last cubic inch of it is full

Our MC7 has the center bay empty and a little space left in the other two bays. When I change out my gas gen for a diesel, I will have another 1/2 bay empty. I have not measured the bays but I am guessing maybe 100 cuft per bay? It doesn't seem to make any difference because we fill up whatever space we have!

On my 4104, I have an empty 1/2 bay just aft of the front door that I'll estimate at 45 cu ft.   Also, my middle bay on the right is empty, and that is about 75 cu ft.   Those two areas are my primary storage, but I also use many nooks and crannies. In a left middle bay, which holds the 30 gallon propane tank, I also have about 9 cu ft of stacked firewood. Overall, I probably have 160 cu feet of usable storage in my bay areas, which isn't bad considering the 4104's 35 ft length.

When we first purchased the bus I made a comment to my wife. I told her that if we ever got to a point where we started packing for vacation and could not fit all the stuff in the bus bays, we were to seek immediate professional attention.  For the most part, taking 10 day trips with a family of 5, fitting all the gear in is easy and doen't even require thought.  The only thing that does push us over the edge sometimes is if my three boys want to take their bicycles.

roughly 230 cu ft open bay space

2 completely open bays, 44" tall by 44" wide, plus additional storage above and beside the generator and some above the front wheels accessible from the front bay.

I have 333 gals of water and waste tanks, a 13k generator in a quiet box, an 11 gal hot water heater, and 235 gals of fuel.  Other systems things that take up other spaces are a Trace 4024 Inverter, 6 4D batteries and and 42k btu espar diesel heater.

On our 102A3 the rear bay is sacrificed to the house systems,tanks,propane and batteries.The front two bays are completely open for storage so probably just over 200 cu/ft

I have the entire front bay open - 100 ft ??  The 2nd bay has the propane tank on the road side and my toolbox on a rollout on the curb side.  Behind the toolbox on the rollout I have roughly 1/4 of the bay available for "my" stuff (oil, filters, tools).  I have the best of intentions of putting a full width rollout on the front bay because, without it, a lot of the space is wasted.  But I haven't got a round tuit yet.  I wouldn't want any less storage.

I have 2 1/2 bays open for storage. Water / septic and Hydro Hot in 4th bay ( 150gals water / 150 septic). Generator and inverters in 3 bay. House batterys in old battery compartment

I have one full bay open after installing everything.  There is also 1/3 of a bay open that will get filled with spares, tools, and so on.  The goal from the start was to have a full bay available to haul stuff on trips.

I've got about a third to half of the front bay available, the entire center bay is empty, and the rear bay will have some misc. storage, most likely for tools, etc.  I'm not sure what the actual dimensions are, but the bays are the same as those with MC-9's.
