Back then this board wasn't up and running long enough at 1 time to read. BNO was the king Ian and BW kept it going.LOL Ian would let people hammer it out, Fast Fred,Two Dogs,Ace and Dallas kept it entertaining till Ian would pull the plug.
Mak had the worst board around, my times have changed thanks to Phil.We now have a new generation of bus nuts they are more into to the technical BS they want a bus that you start and drive off into the sunset not spending 10 years to rebuild a rusty old Eagle  :o lol even RJ has joined that crowd and so have I.
Scott is still doing it his way and the young man takes his licks and keeps going he is one I admire

Good morning - and thanks very much for the kind words re: old board & upgrade.     :D

Yes, the old forum would frequently be offline until it was re-rebuilt.  And 100% correct - that forum was also not compatible with, well, almost any new technology.

That being said, I've found some of the old files - and more details are coming back to me like a bad dream.   :P  :(  :o

The old forum wasn't able to keep more than a limited amount of threads available at one time, so it was necessary to keep trimming off the old stuff from the index (main page).   Else, it would slow to a crawl trying to load a humongous single web page.  So, the process was to back up the old files from time to time, and now I've located some of those content files on an old archived disk.

A couple of caveats; there are no backups of the forum prior to my joining up w/ MaK.  So, it may only be a year or two of the old content.  Also, there is no database, so the content is nothing but thousands of HTML files w/o any kind of index.  I'll get w/ Gary and Krash and review the status.  And will keep searching for older main pages which may tie some of the files together.

We'll keep updating this thread, thanks all for the interest & suggestions.  There were some very 'lively' discussions on that forum.   ;D

Kind Regards, Phil
