I have a 96 model 15 eagle with a series 60 in it..  My volt guage used to run around 13 volts now it is reading over 16 volts and higher..  It is causing my tranmission to not work correct.  it is a B500.. I got the code's off  the trans  and they were to deal with voltage.. I got a new voltage regulator and it didn't fix the problem.. It is a sure power  voltage reg  with 6 wire's..  two ground's two hot's one to the field and one to the ignition..  I talked to a shop today and they said it sounds like a ground issue with the regulator.. If anyone has a clue please point me in the right direction..

Hello Jamie,

If I read your post correctly you had the same issue before you installed the regulator, still having the same problem with the new one. Correct?

I am not familiar with your particular regulator, but on mine I can adjust the voltage output. I had a similar situation on my Eagle 01 only it was not putting out high enough voltage.

Because you have a newer coach I am sure they are very differant.

Good Luck.

Happy Trails,

Paul

Not to sound rude, but is the guage accurate?
Check charging system with a known good voltmeter too.
Let us know - there is still plenty to check.
Good luck.

Jamie, I think I would get my jumper cables out. I would hook both a red and black to the Neg starter terminal. I would hook one of the other ends to the alternator frame and the other to the frame of the coach nearby. Start the engine ,check the voltage at the battery. If that takes care of it, make up some new cables. Also check the batteries, are they open?Do they hold a charge? do they need water? Are they grounded to the frame and starter or is a cable bad?

Jamie - have you replaced or done anything to your batteries lately?
