We had to bail out of our coach this past week and head to a nearby hospitals storm shelter because of a tornado. Thought this article was really interesting. Apparently there are storm shelters along turnpikes: http://www.kansas.com/news/article1089994.html

Any Port During A Storm. Applies to Tornadoes also. How many travelers can they hold and for how long would one be expected to stay down inside one?

It would be excellent to get through a huge storm without a scratch due to the provided Turn Pike shelters but it would be a bummer to lose your Bus Conversion.

I'm wondering how fast the weather can close down and how many Bus Conversion folks would have an eye on the weather. Can one just reverse course and run?

We reversed course in Dove Co one year to out run the tornadoes they where headed east so we headed west
