after you crack or warp it based on casual typing...

They are 18 to 22 ft lbs Jason it's in the lube section (4) of your manual  you lucky dog you only have 8 to tighten

Yes follow the X pattern beginning in the center of the pan

If only I could stop my oil leaks with a simple oil pan gasket change....my 8v92 is now leaking from literally every side of the block from every hose, orifice, gasket, and groove.

Thoroughly clean engine, then look for leaks shortly after. The air movement in engine compartment makes everything look like it's leaking. You could install a Walker air Sep. They are used a lot on boats to keep engine clean.

Probably all the oil is coming from the top around the blower area unless the re builder decided  RTV was the way to go on the gaskets

Could have originally been a marine cast block.
I think DD had a buy one get one free sale back when the Navy stopped using them, they were gov't spec'd to ooze oil in salt atmosphere...too minimize corrosion and reduce painting costs....

Scott, Do like Cliff suggested and clean it up and see where it's coming from, those fans just spread it around and make a little leak look like something major. I hate leaks and try to keep things clean, my old 71 didn't leak much and I hope to get the 50 series the same
