Hello everyone, my name is Nick and I am glad to be a part of this group.  I have owned 1960 PD4104-4822 (named Åge) for going on a year now, and recently sold a 1968 International Harvester Gerstenslager bookmobile conversion that I'd owned since 2004.  By the end of 2016 I hope to have my home in Astoria, Oregon leased out and I'll be down the road full timing as I work about 4-5 months per year on the Bering Sea, which is where I am currently located.  I've been reading posts off and on over he years on busconversions.com, and it's great to actually be a member now.  You can count on photos, stories, and questions from me down the line.  Thanks for being such a great community, as well as for having me.

You should email your 4014 Serial Number to Jon Usles at jusle@aol.com.  He is collecting the S/N of all 41xx both living and dead.  Not only that but Jon is a walking encyclopedia on those buses so if you ever want to know anything about them or where you can find parts he can probably tell you.  He also may be able to give you the history of your bus if you don't already know it.

Jon has also written several articles about the 4104 bus for our magazine.  If your not a subscriber you should sign up now.  If you call the office to sign up for a 2-3 year subscription and you would like a copy of all BCM issues with articles about 4014s in them, just let us know and we will send you every back issue with the 4014 model buses in them for $2.00 each plus S&H so you can learn even more about these buses.  657-221-0432.

Hello Gary, I will be in touch as soon as I'm off the Bering Sea - I've been at sea and in Dutch Harbor, AK since June 2nd and I have very poor internet, hence the lack of photos.  I will send you photos and the requested info as soon as I get home in the next two weeks.  Luckily I met Jon online last year before making my purchase and he has provided me with tons of information, including the origin of my bus (Western Greyhound).  Also, I will be in touch in regard to a subscription to your publication.

DoubleEagle, why yes, the Airstream interior is pretty unique to find in a coach and it looks and functions beautifully.  It might as well have come equipped from factory with this same interior it fits so well.  There will be photos to come.

Airstream materials should be very good quality. They are assembled just north of me in Jackson Center, Ohio.

Welcome Nick. Sounds like a nice setup. However, we also HAVE to see pics of your fishing rig. So many questions. But pics will be a great start

If you are not a master carpenter it seem the best way to go,
