I realize this subject has been covered before-but, I'm torn between two choices. First off-I have a Splendide Ventless Combo in my bus. While it works well, don't like the drying time, or that the clothes never really get completely dry-so that model is out for the truck.
I have whittled down the choice to either the Splendide 2100 vented combo, or the Splendide stacked washer-dryer by Ariston. Advantage to the stack, you can wash and dry at the same time. Disadvantage-takes up valuable space with the separate dryer that doesn't leave much space above for laundry supplies.
Advantage to the combo, everything is done at the same time and is space saving leaving space above the unit for laundry supplies. Disadvantage-can only do one load at a time.
There is only about a $400 difference between the stack and combo. Who has experience with either?
Thanks,
TomC

TomC,we been searching for the same we looked into Ariston she liked it when the smoke cleared we went the Whirlpool wfc7500vw washer and the dryer wed7500vw just because of the service and parts.

I got the 24in wide combo from Spencer's in Phoenix on sale for under a 1000 bucks with shipping.HD wanted 1500 bucks plus all the rest of the crap for the set
Since I don't do the washing I had a hard time paying the difference in the price for a top loader or the front loader washer, I don't see the difference my self clothes get wet and tumble around with soap and water it must be a women thing  ;D

Tom -

We have the Vented splendide 2000s.  We like it because we can throw a days worth of clothes (us and 4 kids) into the laundry at night and push a button and have clean laundry in the AM.  It takes about 90-100 minutes to dry and the clothes are completely dry (sans jeans or heavy sweaters..etc which are mostly dry as in wearable but can have a slight dampness to them if the load is full)

The upside is the space savings.  We do use laundromats when we are washing sheets and blankets and/or if the laundry piles up because we have been boondocking.  We do love the push one button and forget it of the combo unit.  I will say that it does the job but not quite as well as a regular washer/dryer.

I guess you have to decide if the space is more important to you.  My wife likes having the combo unit.  She recognizes that a regular washer and dryer has more space and works better but it is nice to have the space and the ability to do laundry if needed without having to hit a laundromat.

Tom,
We have a vented Splendide vented.
We like to idea of being on the road  when the clothes are being done.
Once we're at a campground we do clothes every day.
We'll trade the small inconvenience
for the space any day.

Our Splendide vented in installed in one of my cargo bays, vents right out the bottom floor and pumps the water over to the black/gray. Less noise in the living area, may be an issue when raining but can then just wait a day or so.

What space are we talking about they all take space in the bay you loose space in a cabinet you loose drawer space for a single unit, with the stack it's same space for the washer only space difference would be for the dryer ours is 23.1/4 wide, height is 33 inches and 23 inches deep I can live with that. Then you can wash going down the road just as easy I would think just push the button .After so many years with the Splendides and Bendix combo units she wanted something different a happy wife a happy life  ;D

Clifford-thank you for the info on the Whirlpool. I looked at your specific models. Problem is I made the cabinet exactly 24" deep which means the machine would protrude out into the isle a bit on mine. And there is nothing saying these are made for RV use. Granted, your bus rides extremely well compared to my truck conversion. Splendide says they are made for the rigors of over the road use. From what I've read, probably will go with the combo unit to save space. Good Luck, TomC
