On NBC.Com the Jay Leno garage has a feature video on this bus that he is converting into a motorhome. I am sure that the end result will show what you can do when money is not a factor.

I saw this mentioned on another site. Most beautiful bus ever, IMHO.

Unbelieveable that they have taken 12 years on the project so far!  When the Detroit guys come in, the one on the very right is Pat Moran, our Los Angeles area Detroit Diesel rep.  He has told me about this bus, in that they have hot rodded the 6V-92TA to put out 400hp and 1350lb/ft of torque.  The main problem was to have enough radiator.  They have it mounted above the engine under the roof scoop on a slant with big electric fan motors.  Will be curious as to how much faster it'll be.  I went from 300hp and 800lb/ft of torque to 370hp and 1100lb/ft of torque which took me from 30mph to 40mph on the same grades, with much better driveability.  Now feather the throttle, rather than just flooring it all the time.  Good Luck, TomC

Chuck, Starliners are cool & that Starliner is nice, but . . . .
I believe you forgot about one,
You know, the GM PD4501,
the bus that set the standard for well over 30 years.  ;D

That Red Scenic Cruiser is indeed a work of art. I love seeing the older buses redone with the quality of workmanship both the scenic and the Leno bus have demonstrated. I would love to see a section on here of buses of that caliber. A lot of us are capable of that type of work but don't have the time or money. It's really cool to see the work of those that do.
