With the wheels, drums, and hubs off to replace the axles seals, I thought might as well remove the DD3s to take a look, even though they worked good. Good thing because they were dirty and lots of dried up old grease and some rust, etc. They cleaned up good enough.. The diaphragms are still good. Good exercise, and peace of mind for the road. The maintenance manual says pull them off every 50000 miles or once a year to service, and I can see why now. You can't carry on with your head in the sand ignoring those kind of things.
