Somebody posted a few helpful work camping links awhile back and in my search haven't found them.  Can those be posted again?

Also, we're currently working in Michigan but expect the temps to drive us south by November.  We haven't full-timed before so we're already thinking about where to go next.  We don't Like a lot of heat so Florida is questionable.  Maybe GA, AL, TN, ???

By spring we hope to be back near Vermont.  *** NEW GRANDSON***

We're interested in work ideas.

Dave i don't think that Florida is too hot during the winter. ;) We are planning to go there for the first time this fall,.... it surprises me when i tell folks we are going there how many people say it is too hot, too many bugs, and the hurricanes!!!! I remind them we are going there in the winter, not the summer. ;D

Dave;
If you know of any places you might want to try, just send them your resume with what you are looking for and what you can do, hosting, or manual work ,Lawn mowing, cutting bushes, fix plumbing or electric problems or a greeter etc.
We found that RV parks with marina's generally need more people or places with cabins and RV spots and maybe a restaurant.
remember you can bargin or be sure to ask what their benefits are, IE 20 hours a week for 2 or per person in the couple, free spot. Is the gas LP, or electric included or is there any pay. Pay is generally low 8 to 12 an hour or just free spot. HTH

Hey Ed,

Us Floridians love to spread those rumors about how hot, and all the bugs we have in Florida.  It helps keep people away.  Don't forget the nasty hurricanes, we have about one a month.    ::)

Come to Florida, bring money.

Spend it all, then go home!

Len, we fulltime so we are always home no matter where we are! ;D  Unfortunately we don't have a lot of money but do spend what we have.

Hey Ed... any idea where in Florida you'll be staying?

Kirby & Linda

Kirby and Linda, the tentative plan so far is to come in on the west coast and make our way down toward the Keys and then come back up the east coast with a detour of course for the Arcadia Rally. Have some friends from Wa. who spent this last winter in Florida so i will pick their brains when we meet up later this summer. Do you have any suggestions? Gonna have to do this on a limited income so the high dollar stuff is out. (sorry Bill.) ;D

Ed, I guess we're kind of veering off-topic a bit, but gee, there is so much to see and do in Florida.  Not all expensive, either.  For example, if you find yourself in the area of Tarpon Springs on the west coast of FL, it's a Greek fishing community and it can be interesting to just wander around looking at the boats and window shopping in the touristy souvenir shops.  Down in the keys, it's very laid back.  There are camping areas in the Everglades and I could put you in touch with some bus folks who know where those are.  Be aware, however, that November can still be on the warm side and the mosquitos are active still (I wonder if they ever aren't active, except in a good windy cold front).  Heck, sometimes December is on the warm side.

Ed the wife and I went through NASA years ago and AIR it was free or very cheap. It was a 3 or 4 hour tour. Pretty neat. There is also a boat in tarpon springs that takes you out to see the.dolfins and dive for sponges .They dive and you watch although we thought they actually had them inside the suit and pulled them out. It was a couple of bucks was all.

Owner Dave (mcibustalk.com,

You should have a lot of fun work camping. Florida sounds like a good choice. Congrats on the new grandson!
