Bad News today on the genset

OK! Thanks.

They told me that my D950 will only ever produce 9KW, but recommend an 11KW head so that I don't  ever overload the genset. I'll just have to be careful not to put too many loads on it and bog down the engine.

However, I still have a difference of opinion among the experts. So, can the D950 handle up to 9KW or am I stuck at 6.5kw?

The reason this is important is that I can save several thousand dollars if the D950 can deliver 9KW. Otherwise, I'm looking at replacing the entire genset.

I guess you need to ask yourself just how many amps do you really need? Sounds like you were getting by with less than 9kw before.  Bob
