Top off your tank as soon as you can to dilute the stuff you have in there.
Used to own a 1968 MCI 5A and a 1977 5C.

Added 60 gallons of diesel and not much help. Just changed fuel filters and didn't help. Pretty sure after chatting with cliff on the phone that I'm looking at injectors. Stuck just south of atlanta. Anyone around with injector changing experience that would love to tutor? Otherwise I'm headed to ww Williams where it will take over a week and prob cost over $1000.

Can't you make it to Chattanooga to Choo Choo? They know a lot about two strokes and will probably be less money.  It is 117 miles from center of Atlanta to Chattanooga.

And now all symptoms are gone. Weird stuff going on here. Still just a tiny bit short on power but no more smoke and had it up to 74 mph. Been filling up with straight diesel at every stop. Changed fuel filters. Going to change them again tomorrow. In sugar valley at the moment flying j in resaca, ga. Headed as far as we can today. Praying for the best.

Sounds to me that the OIL mix was most definitely to rich and that even though you didn't notice it right away the topping off with fresh fuel & changing the filters has helped!

Just my guess which along with $3 will get you a cup of coffee @ Flying J!

Smells like a classic fuel filter problem from the start to me.  Keep extra filters on hand until the rest of that blend is flushed through the system.  Hopefully you didn't damage anything like injectors.  Good luck and please keep us posted.

Do you add algaecide or other additive to your fuel? It sounds a bit like you may have funny fuel.

At a truck stop on Kentucky for the night. Coach running very well. A little doggy uphill but we are towing the Camry and have 230 gallons of liquid on board not including the 180 gallons in
My fuel tank. Thanks to all for help and suggestions. Wondering if my oil was too thick and not thinned enough. Anyway we are headed home to Michigan tomorrow. Thanks all.
