Requesting knowledge from the collective.

Looking at the pictures, tell me if the two windshields are different sizes.  Will the same windshield fit both applications??   I have been told they are different sizes and I don't want to get them out and and find out that is true. :(

I shoulda' washed the red bus before posting a picture.

John,
I have been told that the windshield with the metal trim ring are different but I am not 100% sure of that.
I have not seen very many 4104's with the metal trim ring.I wonder if it's a Greyhound only item for their later 4104 production.
The 4104 that I use to own S/N 5025 had the standard windshield and no metal trim ring.

Hi John & Folks:

The glass with the metal retainer is a smaller windshield than the glass in the rubber channel.  When I worked for Hausman Bus Sales, many years ago, we got in a group of Western 4104's with the metal band and the windshields were sand blasted from running through the desert.

Before selling them, we replaced the glass & channel.  I was surprised when we realized that there were 2 different size windshields.  These same buses had 19" rims, all of which we changed out to 20".

That's enough trivia for today, back to work!!!

Happy & SAFE!! Bussin'!!!
