losing air

this is on a mci102c 1988. air coming out of the exhaust of the treadal valve.re placed it did not help,goes up to 100lbs. cannot relese th e- brake. there is no air going to the tank under drivers so no wipers or door it also has a new gov. on the compressor.thanks lim

 Sounds like the line to the tank is plugged up somewhere.

Suspect a DD3 system related problem.

Off the top of my head, a DD3 chamber parking diaphragm leaking back into the service portion, and then out the exhaust, or the inversion valve.

My manuals are remote to my location to review.

Use the search on here and at BNO using DD3 leaking air, parking diaphragm and similar for lots of typing.

Don't worry, changing the treadle valve wasn't a waste, call it part of your brake rejuvenation in your state of good repair program.

I don't know if the Prevost is the same but when I couldn't release my emergency brake I found that mice has chewed through one of my air lines going from the rear to the front area and causing all kinds of weird things to happen. Pressure would build but brake would not release and I kept hearing air escaping from a valve. Once I replaced the air line every thing went back to normal. Hope you find the problem.
